فضيلة الشيخ – حفظكم الله
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I enjoyed the new lesson very much. The chosen hadiith is beautiful in content, in the lessons learnt from it, and easy to understand in grammar and vocabulary, الحمد لله.
I commend your wisdom in choosing this particular Hadiith, ما شاء الله. Those studying your full, mastering Arabic program, will find it an exciting step to be able to advance to lengthy texts such as this without lexical and grammatical notes provided, and even without Harakaat al-‘iraab added – except where needed – yet be able to understand the Arabic easily.
That is very rewarding, الحمد لله.
And having your polished translation at the end was very helpful to confirm my understanding.
جزاكم الله خيرا.
والسلام
I felt the exact same thing. I’ve been following the shaykhs work for years, and I did all the usual grammar layout stuff in my head lol
شكرا جزيلا.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته فضيلة الشيخ، حفظكم الله
Thank you so much dear Shaykh, for this lovely new lesson, جزاكم الله خيرا.
I feel exactly the same as my fellow students who’ve commented above. It was thrilling to have a lesson in Arabic only, to really test oneself. الحمد لله my initial apprehension was shortlived as the lesson was so pleasantly simple, yet so beautiful and weighty in meaning. The gentleness and patience of the Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم, with his opponents, and its amazing effects on them, was especially thought provoking for me.
The grammar and vocab in the hadiith were also nice and easy to understand and I didn’t even notice that the text did not have all the harakaat! (Normally I do!).
ما شاء الله, your translation was, as always, moving and enjoyable to read, and so fresh and clean-cut.
And ما شاء الله, last but not least, the design and layout of the lesson, and soft colours was, as always, pleasing to the eye.
جزاكم الله خيرا.
والسلام عليكم

Giving the English meaning of the word in between the matan is very good approach. It helps.
