Speaking a language improves understanding and comprehension of the language. Once we learn new words and grammar rules, we need to speak the new words and rules as it helps to make them firmer and natural in our minds. Speaking is proven to play an essential role in learning a language. So to improve our understanding of Qur’aanic Arabic, we should speak Qur’aanic Arabic. But before speaking, we need to listen sufficiently to accustom our ears to language patterns.
تدريبات في المحادثة ‘Arabic Conversation Drills’ uses the vocabulary and grammar taught in the 3 Madinah Books. Personally taught on DVDs by the Shaykh.
Guide:
1) Read the text of DVD1(A) in the PDF provided.
2) Watch DVD1A. (Optional as the focus is to listen to the conversation).
3) Focus on listening only.
4) Listen to the drills in segments, as prepared below.
5) Then answer the short questions orally (any grammatically correct reply is acceptable).
